Position Overview
The Assistant Manager's mission is to execute Lola Saratoga brand standards within the Stuyvesant Plaza location, including: ensuring store cleanliness, presentation, and merchandising in accordance with operations directives. Primarily responsible for taking the lead on selling within the Stuyvesant Plaza location. Leadership skills, strong communication, self-motivation, and a desire to create a memorable luxury shopping experience are key for success in this position.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations
-
Maximize in-store presence to meet sales goals through store presentation, management, and customer relationships

Take in customer feedback and implement relevant changes, or relay feedback to Operations Leadership

Work with Operations Leadership to initiate sales through clienteling tools, including but not limited to the wishlist

Create a memorable experience for our clientele, and position our brand as a leader in the luxury handbag market

Track all levels of supplies, including: packing and shipping materials, brand materials, cleaning supplies, and office supplies and communicate with Operations Leadership when reorder is necessary
Leadership & Comunication

Train, motivate, mentor, and provide feedback to sales staff

Coordinate employee reviews in line with schedule set forth by Operations Leadership

Provide staff members with day-to-day feedback to motivate individual and team growth, and overall store growth

Use strong communication skills and lead by example
Sales and Client Experience

Deliver a warm, polished, and personalized luxury shopping experience to every client.

Build and maintain meaningful long-term relationships with local and visiting customers.

Act as a trusted advisor by understanding each client’s preferences, lifestyle, purchase history, and expressed needs.

Balance strong relationship-building with awareness of store traffic, team needs, and sales opportunities.

Resolve customer questions, concerns, returns, and service issues professionally and with sound judgment.

Follow customer matters through to resolution and maintain clear notes when additional follow-up is required.

Set the pace on the sales floor and actively coach the team on client engagement, product presentation, and closing opportunities.

Create memorable experiences that strengthen Lola Saratoga’s position in the luxury resale market.
Clienteling

Serve as the store-level leader of the CRM clienteling program.

Consistently use customer insights, tasks, communication tools, wish lists, campaigns, and reporting features to drive engagement and measurable sales.

Maintain disciplined personal follow-up while also creating accountability across the sales team.

Monitor team participation and coach staff when client follow-up is incomplete or ineffective.

Identify trends, client segments, seasonal opportunities, and outreach ideas that can be translated into targeted campaigns or client lists.

Share success stories and effective approaches with the team.

Evaluate which outreach efforts are producing responses, appointments, and sales, and recommend adjustments based on results.

Develop creative clienteling opportunities similar to seasonal, event-based, or customer-specific outreach lists.
Product Knowledge & Brand Representation

Keep merchandising of product and store displays fresh and on-brand

Update window displays in both store locations for seasonality and special events

Remerchandise focal tables on regular rotating basis to focus on trends, new arrivals, and relevant themes

Showcase knowledge of consignment process at Lola Saratoga including order of operations, payouts, and contract

Work with Buyer, Assistant Buyer, and Operations Leadership to manage all incoming consignment inventory and consignor information

Demonstrate strong attention to detail when inspecting items in order to ensure accurate pricing

Additional Details

In person position; Full-Time and/or Part-Time

Schedule flexibility is required and includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and live-selling broadcasts based on business needs.

Full time positions are eligible for full-time benefits and performance-incentive programs.
